This book is amazing. It has got just the right dose of comedy and action. It also has other elements that are essential to make a good manga like a love interest for example. I have already read all the manga and I have to tell you, they are great. All I'm doing now is trying to collect them. You wont be disappointed with this book. There is a one con I have found about the series of manga (not this book in general). I bought this book thinking "this is a series that I might start collecting" but really some of the books are harder to find then others. It gets really nerve-racking because, for example, book two is on back order and no one is expecting to get anymore in. If you happen to find it you are going to pay big bucks for it and several of the books are like this. If you are just getting this one, then its a great read, but its very disappointing if you want the whole series.

Reborn has to be one of my most favorite shonen manga of all time! The first couple of volumes are written as a comedy series, but Reborn shines best when it lifts it's comedy roots and turns into an epic action shonen. This series has amazing character development and I hope that Viz decides to continue to publish the series in the future.

Reborn is probably my favorite manga/anime ever. The story does start off really slow (up to vol. 8) but it's really worth the read. The art also gradually gets more beautiful over time. This series pretty much has a slice of everything and would recommend this book to anyone looking for an exciting read. I bought my copy 'used' but honestly, it looks brand new to me. Very happy with my purchase~! (and shipping too! it was estimated to arrive in two weeks when it actually came in two days!) My only problem is not with the story but with the series cancellation. It's a bit of a bummer that viz media only translated 16 out of the 42 volumes. Overall a A+ purchase.
My kid are big fan of Reborn. This book give a lot fan for her.
I've came across this manga a long time ago when it was first put up at a bookstore but I never bothered to pick it up. It wasn't until a friend of mine told me more about it that I had to get it.

This completely changes the stereotypical mafia perceptions and turned it into a comedy. I loved the artwork and plot, and it made me laugh. Recommend this book to anyone looking for a laugh, a good plot, and an adventure.
Destroying the sterotypical perceptions that we have for a story of mafia this manga goes all out in making an interesting plot and makes for a great read with all the cool characters.
The first few volumes go towards making the "family" of the main characters mafia gang, but afterwards it gets a bit serious with majaor character progression and cute little things that make this story from being called boring.
The first volume revolves the main character being meet by a baby hitman named Reborn who helps him to become the 10th boss of a mafia gang, and through a bit of suffering the main character gains a few new friends, and enemies.
If you love the Reborn! series as well as the anime, you will really appreciate this first volume. It contains several differences from the anime, but I consider both to be excellent. This was a fun, hilarious read and the characters will draw you into this amazingly creative and innovative story. Keep in mind that if you wish to collect the entire manga series, the unfortunate fact is that the English version of the series is only available up to the Volume 16 of the series. But overall, this first volume was an excellent read and is great for any Reborn! fan.
